MIT - Networked Agents And Decentralized AI (NANDA)
NANDA (Networked Agents And Decentralised AI) builds on Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP) to create a true Internet of AI Agents. While MCP provides standardised interaction between AI agents, tools and resources, NANDA adds the critical infrastructure needed for distributed agent intelligence at scale.
FTL forms part of the Executive Committee of MIT’s NANDA. This work is vital to the evolution of the World Wide Web; a fair, technology agnostic, agentic internet. Initiated by the Decentralised AI Group at MIT Media Lab, this infrastructure brings together experts in AI to create a layer upon which systems such as A2A or MCP become interoperable. A core mission of NANDA is to create a global registry of AI Agents hosted by impartial partners (a network of university partners). For more information, visit the official MIT NANDA website.
