FTL is searching for architects of positive change to co-create policy alongside some of the world's most influential organisations. Representatives of FTL will be active participants, drafting chartered international resolutions as part of a series of expert-led roundtables at the UN.
This represents a unique opportunity to contribute to a new model for sustainable country development and write the next chapter of global prosperity. Participants should attend with an ethos of community; representing the views of those in their ecosystem/ industry in order to create policy recommendations for the many, not the few.
A new approach to fostering sustainable development is required amid climate change, economic inequality and rapid technological disruption. This high-impact roundtable series brings together multiple leaders at the UN headquarters in New York, to develop a new paradigm that moves beyond traditional aid models and embraces the "triple bottom line" of planetary health, social equity and economic prosperity. The global series aims to gather insights from diverse communities. We strive towards the production of inclusive guidelines or standards upon which the many frameworks aimed at tackling such issues can be measured and held accountable. After a series of pre-roundtable workshops - the first event, alongside our colleagues from the World Bank, focussed on financial inclusion; highlighting the looming ‘digital divide’ which is exponentially increasing in the age of artificial intelligence.
Other events in this series:
A New Blueprint for Sovereign Sustainable Development (Roundtable) (No.1)
It is not the intention of this series to dictate to anyone how or why they should build their country. We have gathered experts in a range of disciplines to provide insights on how their areas of expertise could be truly sovereign (owned by the people and the country).
Many groups have, and will have, similar conversations - we offer time for thought, a platform for debate and an official resolution to share these insights; followed by an opportunity for the influential parties in attendance to offer their support towards the desired outcomes as this project begins.
